The Founder's Story: Starting Small

Ajay Kumar Kamat grew up in a small village called Haripatti (Bhaiyatol) in Madhubani, Bihar—a beautiful land famous for Mithila Art, known as the land of Sita Mata and the sasural of Shri Ram. Growing up here taught him values like patience, culture, and deep hard work.

First Steps in Business

Ajay completed his BCA from Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, and later finished his MBA in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship to learn how businesses scale. He worked a regular job for 6 months, but his real passion was always to build something of his own. Fear and overthinking stopped him many times, but the dream never left.

Building the Platform

In November 2023, Ajay took a big risk and registered Pawan Ratna out of his village in Madhubani. At first, he started by sourcing and trading items, but he quickly found huge problems with suppliers—like unfair pricing, trust issues, and no support for small buyers.

He realized that instead of depending on unreliable suppliers, he should build a platform that genuinely protects and helps buyers. That is how our main wholesale marketplace network at pawanratna.com was born.

Helping Others: Pawan Ratna Foundation

We believe that a good business must also help people. To make a real difference, 5% of our business profits go directly to charity work through the Pawan Ratna Foundation (not a registered NGO yet).
